Between 1989 and 2004, Dr. Richard Berg practiced radiology at the Medical Imaging Center of San Luis Obispo in California. In addition to reviewing, among other things, ultrasounds, radiographs, MRI and CT scans as a staff member of the imaging center, Dr. Berg also performed interventional procedures, and was one of the only radiologists in the county to perform amniocentesis. Richard Berg also functioned as a consultant for Atascadero State Hospital, California Men’s Colony, and California Polytechnic State University.
In 2005 Dr. Berg joined Community Medical Imaging in Fresno in a capacity similar to the one in which he served in San Luis Obispo. Over the course of his decade with Community Medical Imaging, he continued to engage with various facilities in the area, including Community Regional Medical Center of Fresno, St. Agnes Medical Center, and various outpatient imaging centers, such as Advanced Medical Imaging (AMI).
An alumnus of Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science, Dr. Berg completed a fellowship in body imaging at UC Irvine and Long Beach Memorial Medical Center after receiving board certification in radiology in 1988. At various points during his career, he has maintained active membership with several professional organizations, including the American Board of Radiology, the American Medical Association and the California Medical Association.
